or do I need to mention each country for you, Japan

If you look hard enough you should be able to find a good teacher near by. I was about to do this and i live in Hong Kong where my teacher is possibly one out of maybe 3 or 4 drumemrs thats i've seen here who can actually play well (good technique, appreciation from music etc)

If not, I have beeen recommended the book Bass drum control by colin bayley. Also the realistic rock drum method offers hundreds of beats in which you can practice your bass drum whilst playing beats! Try and develop or find some exercises which isolate the foot (the oens given here are good) but also try and do as klemme said playing with music and playing grooves. Right hand and foot rolls (or left hand) will also do some cool stuff. First though play around with your pedal settings until you find whats most confortable!

I think I'm right on the mark when you mentioned
this one... the only problem now is if I play a
different kit on gigs and the pedal is on a diff
tension...

i'm practicing "left hand and foot" singles &
doubles right now and i think it's helping a lot!

I would mirror everything that
I do with the hands, on the feet.

This works, especially, with the
double-kick. Everything, stroke
for stroke, with accents.

Now, for single, I would separate
the patterns, accenting the differ-
notes of the pattern, especially
the doubles, while carrying the
16th's, throughout, on the hands.

The hands will keep the feet in
meter. You will see improvement.

different throne, tom, snare, cymbal etc. height or
placement I attend to loose focus on the playing
and have difficulty adjusting, i get tensed up,
